You definitely have a bit of talent in the level creation department, I think it goes without saying. Either way looks nice, good sense of atmosphere, and I especially like the work you did with vegetation (though some AA and AF would help your screenshots a bit). you stuck together in the editor, or your own custom models and textures? I haven't used the Neverwinter Toolset so I'm not certain what it's capable of. How did you go about building it? Is it a series of prefab houses, walls etc. Any thoughts? Or am I best off just abandoning this dead and buried toolkit and doing something useful with my free time, like modding Skyrim joining a barbershop quartet? Problem is, I need to pick a concept and stick with it and I don't have a fucking clue which. So, for instance, there are now just about enough custom item and placeable models to make a not-completely-terrible-looking cowboy mod, or a smoggy Victorian-era adventure with top hats and revolvers, a scuzzy sort of sci-fi wasteland, something that if you squint really fucking hard and know nothing about the subject might just start to look like feudal Japan, or a Roman story, or homoerotic ancient Greek warfare.within reason, there's a lot of non-medieval-fantasy possibilities. But in terms of scripting/conditionals for shitheads, it's great, much more flexible than the first game, and the old NWN1 Script Wizard works fine with it, too, meaning even silly twats like me can do the tricker stuff like create barrels that spread grease when damaged, turn the PC into a chicken, etc, etc, in a couple of seconds.Īnd looking around at the Vault, it seems as if the community began to die just as the interesting and varied modding content started to come in. Most of what's off with it is aesthetic - the ugly, cartoonish figures, the equally hideous landscape textures. So I'm fishing about for a project at the moment, just something fun, not really too fussed if it never gets finished.and the more I play around with the NWN2 toolset, the more I like it.
